Happy Friday everybody!!

If you like, share with everyone why you do, or do not, like the sentence.

The Friday 56

  • Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
  • Turn to page 56.
  • Find the fifth sentence.
  • Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of Freda's Voice
  • Post a link along with your post back to Freda's Voice
Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.
I just began Dreamland Social Club by Tara Altebrando. I received this book for review as part of LibraryThing's Early Reviewer program. Here is the product description:
Jane has traveled the world with her father and brother, but it's not until her fractured family-still silently suffering from the loss of Jane's mother many years before-inherits a house and a history in Coney Island that she finally begins to find a home. With the help of a new community of friends, a mermaid's secrets, and a tattooed love interest with traffic-stopping good looks, the once plain Jane begins to blossom and gains the courage to explore the secrets of her mother's past.

Colorful characters, beautiful writing, and a vibrant, embattled beachfront backdrop make this the perfect summer read for anyone who has ever tried to find true love or a place to call home.
I'm at the beach but it's not the real beach; it's indoors and it's called the Ocean Dome.
Friday 56:
Whatever it was, it wasn't good.
All quotations are from the ARC and may not be final.
