Cinder and Ella by Melissa Lemon from NetGalley quite a while ago. It finally made its way to the top of my TBR mountain. This is a middle grade fantasy with some similarities to Cinderella (and vast differences too.)
Here is the product description:
After her father's disappearance, Cinder leaves home for a servant job at the castle. But it isn t long before her sister Ella is brought to the castle herself. What Ella finds there starts a quest that will change her life and the entire kingdom. With a supernatural twist on this beloved fairytale, it's a must read you'll never forget.Beginning:
If you drink water and breathe air, then you have heard the story of Cinderella. And, if you drink water and breathe air, you have heard it...wrong.Friday 56:
"How long are we going to drag out this pointless quest to find this pointless girl? Time is precious to a man who has many women to spoil and much wine to drink."
