In My YA Mailbox (Nov. 13, 2011)

The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.
I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the wonderful books everyone gets. You will discover lots of great blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.

I just got two books this week. I bought one and received the other for review from the author.

After much anticipation, the long-awaited book in the Inheritance series - Inheritance by Christopher Paolini was published. I had to buy this one for my students. I read Eragon but haven't read any of the others. This one just touched down lightly at my house before I brought it to school for my HS Media Center.

I also accepted Ties to the Blood Moon by Robin P. Waldrop for review. This is an ebook and a paranormal. Here is the product description:
Genevieve is a teenage girl who moves in with her aunt in Alaska after the death of her mother. Soon after her arrival she learns the things she was raised to believe only existed in fairytales are in fact a big part of her history. When it gets to be too much she seeks refuge in the arms of her new boyfriend, William, only to find out he's not who she thought he was either.
That was all for me. What did you get in your mailbox?

  1. That was nice of you to get Inheritance for your class library. I am sure your students will be so excited! I am on a waiting list for Inheritance but sadly I don't really remember much about the series at all.

  2. OOh those look interesting! Hope you enjoy them!

  3. I'm waiting on my Inheritance order from amazon now. My mother is rereading the series to refresh and I've been holding off on reading it till we get the whole series in which now I'll be able to do.

  4. I've heard good things about the Eragon series. I'm sure your students appreciate having it so quickly!
