Book Beginning & Friday 56: Twilight: The Graphic Novel Volume 2

Happy Friday everybody!!

Book Beginnings

Book Beginnings on Friday is now hosted by Katy at A Few More Pages
Anyone can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read, making sure that you include the title and author so others know what you're reading.
If you like, share with everyone why you do, or do not, like the sentence.

The Friday 56
Rules:
  • Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
  • Turn to page 56.
  • Find the fifth sentence.
  • Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of Freda's Voice
  • Post a link along with your post back to Freda's Voice
Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

I am going through a graphic novel phase (probably because they are relatively quick to read and make me feel like I am making progress at reducing my TBR mountain). Twilight: the Graphic Novel Volume 2 by Stephenie Meyer and Young Kim was on the top of the stack. It has been there since the fall book fair at my high school media center. I had purchased Volume 1 at an earlier fair and had to get Volume 2. It begins right in the middle of the story.

Beginning:
I can't believe you've been coming here almost every night.
Friday 56:
There's a reason why we chose the Olympic Peninsula, one of the most sunless places in the world.

  1. I've read the Twilight Novels but haven't tried any of the "graphics" yet, I'll have to look at them next time I'm in an actual bookstore.

  3. I've only read one graphic novel, and didn't even know it was until I opened it.

  4. Ah Edward, pale and not-so-sparkly as can be :) I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are graphic novels of Twilight! Happy sunny weekend!
