In My Mailbox (April 4, 2010)

The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.

I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the cool books everyone gets. You will discover lots of wonderful blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.

Thankfully, this was a slow week for me for YA books. I have a small chance to catch up a little bit.

I purchased When I Was Joe by Keren David from The Book Depository because I have heard so many good things about it. It is the story of a young man who goes into the witness protection program after witnessing a crime and decides to reinvent himself.

I also added a couple of books to my Kindle this week. I added The Hidden Queen by Alma Alexander which got a great review on one of the blogs I read and it made me curious about the book. I don't read a lot of historical fiction but this one is supposed to be excellent. I also bought Dead Is the New Black by Marlene Perez because I have the second and third book in the series but needed the first. I really like reading a series in order.

That is what I got this week. What was in your mailbox?

  1. Haven't had anything in my mailbox for awhile as I'm trying to catch up on the books I already own, but it's harder than I expected!

Totally agree with you about reading a series in order. Makes it so much easier!

    Happy reading!

  2. Oooooo! When I Was Joy sounds great! Enjoy!

  3. Hope you enjoy your books!

  5. Great mailbox this week! I haven't heard much about any of these, but now I'll have to keep an eye out for them. Happy reading

  6. I haven't heard of When I was Joe before, but it sounds great! Hope you enjoy all your books!
