Teaser Tuesday: Knightley Academy by Violet Haberdasher

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser
This week my teaser is from Knightley Academy by Violet Haberdasher. The story is about a common boy who is admitted to a school for knights even though only aristocrats were admitted previously. It is middle grade fiction.
Henry almost laughed. At the Midsummer School, he'd been bossed around and piled with extra work from the kitchen staff, and now they were terrified of him.
I am enjoying the story so far. Henry is being bullied by classmates who resent his academic prowess. But his is making friends with the other commoners who were admitted and with the Headmaster's daughter. By the way, the cover I show isn't my cover. It is the cover shown for the Kindle Edition.
