It's Time to Join the Hop

Friday is a great day to make new blogging friends. You can participate in the Book Blogger Hop which is hosted by Jennifer at Crazy-for-Books. Here is her explanation:

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!  So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!

Jen also asks a question each week. This week her question is: 

Do you judge a book by its cover?

My answer is that I never used to. I chose books based on the blurb on the back or on the author's name. Since I have been blogging I have become much more conscious of the cover of the book. Also, I work with a person at my library who is much more visual than I am and who does talk about book covers. That has raised my awareness of covers in general. 


I will admit that I have chosen some books recently mainly because I loved the cover. This has had some mixed results. I have read a few books lately where the beautiful cover was the best part of the book.
