My teaser this week is for the much-hyped Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. This young adult has received tons of rave reviews. I decided to see what all the fuss was about and add it to my TBR mountain.


Teaser (from page 4 since I just started this one):

It was around the time of the divorce that all traces of decency vanished, and his dream of geing the next great Southern writer was replaced by hisw desire to be the next published writer. So he started writing these novels set in Small Town Georgia about folks with Good American Values who Fall in Love and then contract Life-Threatening Diseases and Die.

You know, that sounds like the type of book I avoid as though I would catch a Life-Threatening Disease and Die myself. I already like the main character's voice.
