Teens' Top Ten List

I was interested to see this list today.
The 2011 Teens' Top Ten nominations are here! Read on to see the twenty-five nominated titles and download the annotated 2011 Teens' Top Ten Nominations (PDF). Read all twenty-five this summer and get ready to vote for the 2011 list, Aug. 22 through Sept. 16.
I like that these books are selected by teens. I was sort of surprised that so many of them were books that were sequels or deep into a series. I avoided some of them because I hadn't read the earlier books in the series.

The ones I have read are red; the ones I have on my TBR stack are green.

I also have a third category. The ones I had but donated to my HS Media Center because I didn't think they would ever float to the top of the TBR stack. Those are blue.

My fourth category are books that I bought for my HS Media Center and had no interest in reading myself. These include Angel, Zombies vs. Unicorns, The Sky Is Everywhere, and Lies.

How are you doing on this list?

  1. That's a pretty impressive list. Most of those are either on my TBR list or already read :)

  2. I've read 6 of them, but almost all of the others are on my TBR. Interesting list, as always.

  3. Huh - A lot of good books on this list! I thought your categories were pretty interesting :) For example, I'm a big fan of most of the books in your 4th category! I'm not familiar at all with the first 3 on the list (and I really enjoyed Bachorz's Candor), so I need to check them out. Thanks for the info!
