WoW: The Emperor of Nihon-Ja by John Flanagan

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It gives us a chance to spotlight books that we are eagerly anticipating.

The Ranger's Apprentice series has gotten up to book 10. I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of The Emperor of Nihon-Ja by John Flanagan on april 19. I pre-ordered this one on Feb. 18, 2011.

Here is the product description: Months have passed since Horace departed for the eastern nation of Nihon-Ja on a vital mission. Having received no communication from him, his friends fear the worst. Unwilling to wait a second longer, Alyss, Evanlyn, and Will leave their homeland behind and venture into an exotic land in search of their missing friend.

When they finally catch up with him, they find Horace entangled in a military coup. Determined to protect the imperial throne, Will and his band of Araluens must piece together and train a force in order to fend off the master Senji warriors intent on overthrowing the emperor.

Suspense and pulse-pounding action abound in this final adventure in the worldwide phenomenon that is RangerÕs Apprentice.

This one will be a "drop everything and read" when it arrives.

  1. Wow! When does this come out since you preordered it nearly 2 months ago?

I preordered one book and its publication date keeps getting bumped back! I think it was supposed to be out last year and now I think it's 2012. But it was 2011 at one point. Although there are 2-3 different dates based on 3 websites! So confusing!! And irritating since I put it on my debit card and my balance is still wonky!
