In My YA Mailbox (May 15, 2011)

The weekly In My Mailbox post is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is fun to see what everyone else gets in their mailboxes, shopping bags, and library visits. Click on the link to The Story Siren's site to see the rules and join in the fun.

I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the wonderful books everyone gets. You will discover lots of great blogs and lots of books that you won't be able to live without.

I have a pretty small mailbox this week. I added two books to my Kindle:
Glimmerglass by Jenna Black was on sale this week. I had the print version but donated it to my HS Media Center unread because I never got around to reading it. I have been meaning to read this and, now that it is on my Kindle, I can.

The Strange Case of Finley Jayne by Kady Cross is in the same universe as The Girl in the Steel Corset which is on my review stack. I downloaded this one because it was free this week. Also, if I like The Girl in the Steel Corset, I am going to want to read it.

I also got two print books that are the latest episodes in two ongoing series:
The Throne of Fire by Rick Riordan follows The Red Pyramid. I enjoyed The Red Pyramid and want to continue the story.

Vespers Rising by Rick Riordan, Peter Lerangis, Gordon Korman and Jude Watson is book number 11 in the 39 Clues series. I liked the first 10 and am eager to read what happens next.

That's it for me. What did you get?

  2. I picked up Throne of Fire as an audio book on MP3 CD. I listened to the first and while it wasn't my favorite production, I decided to continue reading with my ears.

    Happy reading!

  5. I haven't read Glimmerglass yet either. I downloaded The Strange Case of Finley Jayne too. I really liked The Girl in the Steel Corset so this novella should be good too.

I can't wait to read The Throne of Fire. I have been tempted to buy it but since I don't own The Red Pyramid I am going to try to get it from the library instead. I do enjoy Rick Riordan's writing.

I hope you enjoy your books!
