Teaser Tuesday: The Strange Case of Finley Jayne by Kady Cross

Today I'm reading The Strange Case of Finley Jayne by Kady Cross. This is the free prequel short story that gives an introduction to her young adult debut novel - The Girl in the Steel Corset. I read it first and really enjoyed the steampunk aspects of the story. This short story is also full of steampunk goodness.

Teaser:
"I don't have a chance with him, either," Finley jumped in, hating that guilty look on her employer's face. "All I'll ever have is the memory of his backside."
I like the we keep seeing hints of the Duke of Greythorne throughout this one but Finley doesn't get a chance to meet him. It is his backside she is referring to here.
