I have been wanting to read Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer since the day it got to my house. Finally, I got a chance to start it. This is the sequel to Nightshade. It is about werewolves which would endear it me even if it were not incredibly well-written. Fortunately the book is filled with interesting characters and has a unique take on the werewolf mythos.

Book Description:
This thrilling sequel to the much-talked-about Nightshade begins just where it ended-Calla Tor wakes up in the lair of the Searchers, her sworn enemy, and she's certain her days are numbered.     If I was going to read a werewolf book this would certainly be a good one to start iwth.

    I don't have much luck getting kids to read the first book in the series. Is it because it isn't well-written or do you think that werewolves and vampires are becoming passay?
