Teaser Tuesday: Ignite by Kaitlynn Davis

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Ignite (Midnight Fire Series, Book 1) by Kaitlynn Davis has been on my review list for quite a while. Today seemed like a good time to pull it off and see what it was all about.

Here is the product description:
When Kira Dawson moves to South Carolina, she meets Luke, a blond goofball who quickly becomes her best friend, and Tristan, a mysterious bad boy who sends shivers down her spine. Kira knows they're keeping secrets, but when she discovers Tristan's lust for blood and her own dormant mystical powers, Kira is forced to fight for her life and make the heartbreaking decision between the familiar comfort of friendship and the fiery passion of love.
My teaser is from the Prologue:
"Aren't you going to run?" He asked with sinister humor coloring his words. The smirk on his face might as well have been a knife cutting through her heart.
