Friday Memes: The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost

Happy Friday everybody!!
Book Beginnings on Friday is now hosted by Rose City Reader. The Friday 56 is hosted at Freda's Voice. Check out the links above for the rules and for the posts of the participants each week. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

This week I am featuring The Paladin Prophecy by Mark Frost. I got this mystery/thriller from NetGalley. Here is the description:
Readers of I Am Number Four, The Maze Runner, and Legend will love this exciting new adventure series by the co-creator of the groundbreaking television show Twin Peaks, with its unique combination of mystery, heart-pounding action, and the supernatural.

Will West is careful to live life under the radar. At his parents' insistence, he's made sure to get mediocre grades and to stay in the middle of the pack on his cross-country team. Then Will slips up, accidentally scoring off the charts on a nationwide exam.

Now Will is being courted by an exclusive prep school . . . and followed by men driving black sedans. When Will suddenly loses his parents, he must flee to the school. There he begins to explore all that he's capable of--physical and mental feats that should be impossible--and learns that his abilities are connected to a struggle between titanic forces that has lasted for millennia.
The Importance of an Orderly Mind.

Will West began each day with that thought even before he opened his eyes.
Friday 56:
As Will watched, one of the men brought out a steel carbonfiber canister the size of a thermos, just like the one Will had seen that morning in the window of the black sedan.

  1. sounds like there is a lot going on....very exciting.

  2. This novel's not very shy about it's themes, I can see. Sounds interesting.

    Here's my Book Beginnings Post.

  3. Will West sounds like an interesting and unusual hero. I'd like to read his story and find out where his special abilities come from and where they take him. Thanks for introducing me to this author and his books.
    Here's my Friday 56/Beginnings post.

  4. I think I watched every episode of Twin Peaks, so this book might be right down my alley.
