Four review books and two other books followed me home this week.
I got a copy of the newest Nick and Tesla middle grade science mystery this week - Nick and Tesla's Secret Agent Gadget Battle by Bob Pflugfelder and Steve Hockensmith. I have enjoyed the previous two books. I just wish that they were all included in the Accelerated Reader program. My students look for AR books first.
I also chose these from the Amazon Vine program.
After hearing good things about Panic by Lauren Oliver, I decided that I needed to read it.
I also got copies of The Taking by Kimberly Derting and Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong. I already had both of these from Edelweiss but sometimes I just want to hold a book in my hands when I read it.
I added to my Kindle when I took advantage of Doon by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon when it was a Kindle Daily Deal.
I also had to download Red at Night by Kathie McGarry when it became available because I really love the author's writing and characters.
What did you add to your stack this week?
OOh nice! Dying to read Sea of Shadows and The Taking! Already preordered both of them so I can get them on release days, but still got awhile to wait! Happy Reading!

I have heard nothing but awesome stuff about Panic, so hope you like it!
ReplyDeleteI have Panic, The Taking and Sea of Shadows all for review and I hope to get to them soon! And yay for Red at Night! I love Katie McGarry!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great books this week. I totally understand about sometimes wanting a physical copy of a book as well, especially if it was one you enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteOh - what is Red at Night about? I must investigate that one.
ReplyDeleteI agree - certain books need to be held in your hand while reading.

I've got to check out a few of these books......although I did read Doon and I wasn't overly fond of it......Thanks for stopping by my StS!
ReplyDeleteGreat haul! A lot of them are on my TBR list, I can't wait to hear what you think about all these books. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier!

Im very excited to read The Taking as I love Kimberly Derting's Body Finder series. Panic didn't really work for me, but I hope it works for you!
ReplyDeleteI just heard Panic on audio yesterday and the narration was AMAZING! Sarah Drew (actress on Grey's Anatomy) narrates and brings the story to a whole new level. I read The Taking a few weeks ago and really liked it too. Katie McGarry is always a must. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGreat haul. I enjoyed Panic and I'm looking forward to Sea of Shadows. I also snagged Red At Night. Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteI want to read Sea of Shadows! Great haul!

I haven't read anything by Kelley Armstrong yet, but I have seen the cover for Sea of Shadows floating around a lot lately. Thanks for stopping by my post!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I know the need for the physical book! It's weird, but some books just NEED to be in your hands, while with others it doesn't much matter. I got Doon last time it was a deal, and though I haven't read it yet it looks interesting. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!! :D
