Stacking the YA Shelves (April 6, 2014)

Tynga of  Team Tynga's Reviews hosts this meme to spotlight the books we receive each week. I guarantee that your TBR pile will grow when you see all the wonderful books everyone gets.

Four review books and two other books followed me home this week.
I got a copy of the newest Nick and Tesla middle grade science mystery this week - Nick and Tesla's Secret Agent Gadget Battle by Bob Pflugfelder and Steve Hockensmith. I have enjoyed the previous two books. I just wish that they were all included in the Accelerated Reader program. My students look for AR books first.
I also chose these from the Amazon Vine program.

After hearing good things about Panic by Lauren Oliver, I decided that I needed to read it.

I also got copies of The Taking by Kimberly Derting and Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong. I already had both of these from Edelweiss but sometimes I just want to hold a book in my hands when I read it.
I added to my Kindle when I took advantage of Doon by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon when it was a Kindle Daily Deal.

I also had to download Red at Night by Kathie McGarry when it became available because I really love the author's writing and characters.

What did you add to your stack this week?

  4. You got some great books this week. I totally understand about sometimes wanting a physical copy of a book as well, especially if it was one you enjoyed.

  5. Oh - what is Red at Night about? I must investigate that one.

I agree - certain books need to be held in your hand while reading.

  9. I just heard Panic on audio yesterday and the narration was AMAZING! Sarah Drew (actress on Grey's Anatomy) narrates and brings the story to a whole new level. I read The Taking a few weeks ago and really liked it too. Katie McGarry is always a must. Enjoy!

  13. Ooh, I know the need for the physical book! It's weird, but some books just NEED to be in your hands, while with others it doesn't much matter. I got Doon last time it was a deal, and though I haven't read it yet it looks interesting. :)

    Have a great week!! :D
