Friday Memes: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Happy Friday everybody!!
Book Beginnings on Friday is now hosted by Rose City Reader. The Friday 56 is hosted at Freda's Voice. Check out the links above for the rules and for the posts of the participants each week. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

This week I am spotlighting We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. I got this eARC from NetGalley. Here is the description of this May 13 release.
A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.

We Were Liars  is a modern, sophisticated suspense novel from National Book Award finalist and Printz Award honoree E. Lockhart.
Read it.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.
I found the blurb very intriguing. I have to know what I'm going to be lying about.

Beginning:
Welcome to the beautiful Sinclair family. No one is a criminal. No one is an addict. No one is a failure.
Friday 56:
The fall after the European trip, I started a project. I give away something of mine every day.

  2. The Sinclair family doesn't sound very interesting in the opening sentences, does it? I'm guessing there's more to them than meets the eye! Your Friday 56 selection, however, definitely intrigues me. I'm wondering why the character gives away something every day. Sounds like a good story.

  6. Everyone says this one's a good read, and that synopsis totally sold it for me! I love how direct that title is too! Makes you want to grab it and read to answer all the questions!
