Friday Memes: Tabula Rasa by Kristen Lippert-Martin

Happy Friday everybody!!
Book Beginnings on Friday is now hosted by Rose City Reader. The Friday 56 is hosted at Freda's Voice. Check out the links above for the rules and for the posts of the participants each week. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

This week I am spotlighting Tabula Rasa by Kristen Lippert-Martin. I got this eARC at Edelweiss. The book was released on Sept. 23. Here is the description:
The Bourne Identity meet Divergent in this action-packed debut thriller with a Katniss-esque heroine fighting to regain her memories and stay alive, set against a dystopian hospital background.

Sarah starts a crazy battle for her life within the walls of her hospital-turned-prison when a procedure to eliminate her memory goes awry and she starts to remember snatches of her past. Was she an urban terrorist or vigilante? Has the procedure been her salvation or her destruction?

The answers lie trapped within her mind. To access them, she'll need the help of the teen computer hacker who's trying to bring the hospital down for his own reasons, and a pill that's blocked by an army of mercenary soldiers poised to eliminate her for good. If only she knew why . . .
She points to the chair. "Sit."
Friday 56:
"You know how to use that?"

"I might. Give me a second."

This is an effect of the tabula rasa treatment. Sometimes we don't know what we can do until we do it.

  1. Sounds interesting! I definitely like the 56. I'm curious to see what else happens. Hope you enjoy this one!

  2. It feels like deja vu. I just came from another 56 that featured this book. That is one powerful cover and this has been added to my reading list.
    here is my 56 -

  3. This is the second time I've seen this book on a Friday 56 and Book Beginnings post today. And I'm more and more intrigued by this book. Now I really want to read it. Also I'm curious as to what this treatment really is.
    Great pick this week.
    My Friday 56

  4. Sounds fascinating! I'm curious about this story.
Here's the link to my Friday post: Coulda Been a Cowboy.

  5. That treatment sounds scary...
    Happy weekend!

  6. The description of this book makes it sound tremendous...Divergent/Hunger Games/Bourne Identity. It must be something. I hope it is half as good as the description. My Friday Quotes at HEADFULLOFBOOKS
