Beginning:
The world was on fire.
Friday 56:
A muffled pop rang out, the distant retort echoing behind us, and Griffin jerked in his seat, his eyes going wide. I jumped and stared in shock as a thin stream of blood ran down his face from the hole in his forehead.
This week I am spotlighting Soldier by Julie Kagawa. This is the third book of 4 in her Talon Saga. Here is the description from Amazon:
When forced to choose between safety with the dragon organization Talon and being hunted forever as an outcast, Ember Hill chose to stand with Riley and his band of rogue dragons rather than become an assassin for Talon.     Hi Kathy, it seems I've heard of other books in the series, but I don't think I'd heard about this one yet. So many books, so little time!

    I just got my copy! I've got to finsih the second book first, but then I'll be diving into this one.

    I haven't tried this series yet, but I did enjoy The Iron Fey series by Kagawa. So, this one seem like one I might enjoy.

    I couldn't really get into the first book, but I just love that this is a four-part series. I'd like to see more of those.

    I am always curious how books play in the library. I have Kagawa's other series which was very popular and now no one checks out. Does this series circulate?
